This ambitious Endeavor, undertaken by EDSS in collaboration with Cinc Switchboards, showcases our expertise in custom manufacturing and our dedication to meeting the complex demands of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Client: Engaged by Logan Water (Logan City Council and Downer Alliance)

Contract Period: 9 months

Project Scope and Deliverables:

This project required the design, manufacture, and installation of an innovative portable switchroom, precisely tailored to the specific requirements of the Beenleigh WWTP, with the scope of work including the following;

Design and Manufacturing:

A 20-tonne portable switchroom was meticulously designed and manufactured, equipped with internal ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and power outlets to ensure optimal operation in all conditions.

Switchboard Installation:

The project featured a 1600amp Main Switchboard integrated with a Motor Control Centre and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU). These elements were crucial in controlling and monitoring the plant’s electrical systems.

Variable Speed Drives and Cooling System:

Installation of two 300kW Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) along with their associated cooling systems to manage the plant’s energy consumption efficiently.

Transportation and Installation:

The transportation and precise cranage of the switchroom to its final location at the Beenleigh WWTP site (See photos below).

Supplied and installed stairs, handrails, and landings, meticulously designed and constructed to meet relevant building standards, codes, and client-specific requirements.
